Terrifier 3

It’s been five years since the last movie, and things have been rough for Sienna. She’s struggling with her mental health and staying at a psych hospital. For Christmas, she stays with her aunts and uncles, who help lift her spirits. She becomes close to her little cousin Gabbie, which makes life a bit easier. Meanwhile, her brother Jonathan is trying to bury his past by focusing on college.

But guess what? Art the clown, who Sienna thought she took out before by chopping off his head, isn’t dead! He’s back in one piece and ready to wreak havoc again. This time he teams up with Victoria, who was set free from the mental hospital where she’d been locked up. Sienna has to face this nightmare again in a bloody showdown.

The setting shifts from Halloween to Christmas, giving it a different but familiar vibe. Now imagine that creepy clown dressed as an insane Santa Claus! The movie doesn’t dive too deep into Sienna’s role as a fighter or why she’s meant to be some sort of hero. We do hear more about her dad being an artist though.

The film starts slow with shots of Art’s gruesome tricks mixed with scenes showing what Sienna (and Jonathan) are dealing with emotionally. Eventually though, the pace picks up as things get wilder.
In this movie, we’ve got Jonathan hanging out with his friend and the friend’s partner, who’s seriously into all the criminal chaos at the heart of the story. The plot starts off pretty straightforward, setting the basics in place.

But once you hit the second half—especially toward the end—it gets intense. We’re talking a full-on gore fest with everything: limbs getting chopped, slicing and dicing, the works. There’s even a wild scene with rats going down someone’s throat. Definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Then comes the big showdown between Sienna and Art the clown. It’s an all-out battle, with chainsaws flying around like an old-school horror flick, and even a magical sword thrown in for an extra twist. Now Art—he’s your typical creepy clown character you’d find in horror movies but with this knack for adding humor to his totally gruesome acts thanks to David Howard Thornton’s expressive performance. The guy’s like one of those horror villains that just won’t die easily though, so any real suspense doesn’t really stick because he’s kind of invincible.

So yeah, nothing mind-blowingly new here for scary movie fans—but Damien Leone brings his usual energy and style that keeps folks who love this stuff entertained throughout all the outrageousness!
This movie is packed with all the thrilling, bloody action you’d expect, thanks to some pretty cool special effects. Lauren LaVera is back as her character, and she’s got that strong presence again. But compared to Terrifier 2, she doesn’t have as much to do this time around and her battle isn’t quite as legendary. There’s a fun little appearance by Tom Savini, the legendary special effects guru, who pops in for a lively cameo. The ending? Oh yeah, it totally leaves things wide open for another sequel down the line.
